Baby chick making green poop:

If you’re used to raising chickens you’ll know that adult chickens usually have droppings that are brown and clumpy, white urates sometimes come out with this brown and clumpy poop. This isn’t how baby chick poop comes out.

Baby chicks, especially the very young ones, the ones who are about a day old, will produce green poop. This doesn’t mean that there is anything wrong with the bird, it is simply how baby birds are.

The poop of your baby birds will eventually start to turn brown as the bird ages.

In addition, the consistency of your baby chick’s poop will be different from the consistency of an adult chicken’s poop.

A chick that is younger, less than a week old, will produce runny green poop. This poop color and consistency will evolve and become brown and clumpy soon enough

What to do:

Feeding your baby birds the correct foods will get their poops to turn a brown color eventually. Give your birds a chick starter feed that contains all the vitamins and minerals needed for normal and healthy growth.
