These young birds may have a fully black beak or they may have black patches on their beak, this is quite normal and natural.
The color on your bird’s beak will fade as the bird ages and the dark color will usually be gone by the time your young bird is about 4-6 months old.
So, if you have a bird with a black beak then you can assume that your bird is under 4-6 months old.
