If your bird bites your phone you’d understandably worry and wonder why the bird does this.

Jealousy:
One of the personality traits that both humans and birds share is jealousy, and jealousy is why your bird is likely biting your phone.
Birds get jealous over their mates, and if a bird sees you as its mate, and then it sees you spending more time with your phone than it, then it will get jealous.
A bird seeing you as a mate is quite odd, but it happens often.
Birds can take a variety of non-bird things, like humans, human body parts, and objects as mates.
Your bird likely sees your phone as a new rival.
Your bird will go crazy over the new rival and will even bite your phone in retaliation to you giving your phone attention
What to do:
If your bird is used to getting all of your attention it thinks that nothing will ever change, but, once you take this attention away from the bird, your bird will become angry
You can combat this by spending more time with your bird and not using your phone so much while around the bird.
You can try to manage the two together by making the bird see that your phone being around is a good thing.
Do this by giving the bird treats when you bring out your phone and not giving the bird a treat when your phone is not out.
Showing that this jealous behavior is unacceptable should get the bird to stop biting your phone or bite your phone less.
Discourage this jealous behavior by turning your back to the bird when it starts biting your phone.
